The Accu-check Aviva is the latest glucometer from Roche.
It replaces the older Accu-check Advantage meter but still
keeps its benefits.
Key Features
- Measures in mmol/L only
- Revolutionary new Mutlticlix Lancets
- Small blood volume needed for tests (0.6 microliter)
- Test results in 5 seconds
- Alternative site testing
- Easy to use, just two simple steps
- 500 test memory for storing almost all your readings
- 7,14 and 30 day averaging
- Infrared data interface port
- Small and light in weight
The Accu-check Aviva is small but well designed to keep a
large screen and large easy to see readings. This is especially
useful for those with poor sight. The glucometer is easy to
use and requires only a small blood sample. This should mean
less painful finger tips!
The Accu-check Aviva uses Accuchek's latest lancets, Multiclix.
The lancets are revolutionary as they are one of the safest
lancets available. They are designed so that the lancet point
is contained within a drum and only exposed when the device
is actually used. This should dramatically decrease any chance
of an accidental injury whilst using the Accu-check Aviva
and is especially useful for those who find the current single
lancets fiddly and difficult to use.
Alternative site testing is another big advantage with the
Accu-check Aviva meter. Because of the design of the strip
and the fact that the meter only requires a small amount of
blood, you could take a blood sample from almost anywhere.
Possibly giving your finger tips a break. The meter comes
with an extension spacer to allow alternative site testing.
Please note: when blood sugar levels are changing rapidly
it is recommended to test the finger tips rather then any
other site. Talk to your doctor about whether alternative
site testing would be appropriate for you.
One of the great features about the Accu-check Aviva is that
it can be programmed to ring up to 4 test reminder alarms.
This is handy if you do have a tendency to forget when to
test.
